Topic: MDMA without DMF in a SRV? |

Just when I thought that my schmoozing with organic chem students paid
off, I found a file on rhodium about using a soda bottle as a reaction
chamber and compressing it, shaking violently, and ending with
MDP2P. BONUS* this reaction doesnt use DMF! IS this reaction reliable?
Could a PVC pipe vessle be used in-leu of a 2 liter coke bottle to
increase safety, and this put in a paint shaker for ease of
mixing? This was in a file on Rodium, by Spice Boy. I'll dig the link
up if anyone would like to run with this one.
If you care, could some one drop me a URL for oil at
curiouskat@hushmail.com.
thankx

This was a very hot topic a year or so ago. Yes, it worked for me and
spiceboy. KrZ claimed good yields (~90%) recently in his own variation.

hire out a pneumatic drill to do the shaking >75% everytime.

Yeah, KRZ, still waiting for them thar Getto Reactor(TM) plans...
As for your question(s), what your talking about is probably one of THE
MOST discussed things that this board has ever seen. There should be LOADS
of info floating around. And YES a paint shaker works nicely, just a
question though if you don't mind. Besides an auction or a flea market,
where the hell does one purchase a paint shaker??? Believe me paint stores
don't wanna sell them, I guess could steal one from home depot...
How did you hook it up to the pnumatic drill if you don't mind me
asking?
Thanks for any and all help...

If I remember correctly, during my early research I ran across the
statement that DMF UNDER PRESSURE is explosive...Anyone able to verify
that?
Also, the shaking thing that everyone is discussing CAN be done by
hand, but its certainly not the easiest way.
Most recently, it has been my fortune to learn that many of my early
failures were due to the fact that I wasnt allowing enough time for the pd
to dissolve in the alcohol. This variable is more important than even
the shaking, I beelieve.
A soda bottle is packaged with 45 psi of CO2 pressure straight from
the coca-cola plant. I called an engineer at coca cola in atlanta when I
designed this thing. She said that the container had a safety bubble,ie;
It can stand higher pressures than that.
This reaction has been very quirky for many, but I have it on authority
that a few bees made their first honey this way. But thers not a lot of
info on it.
Rhodium has most of it on his page.
Peace and beans

Spicey, Baby!!! Good to see you back about... BTW SWIM heard a rumor that
some idiot took a pepsi bottle up round 70psi, with no problems...

Hey spiceboy! Long time no see!
DMF is not more explosive than any other solvent under a high oxygen
athmosphere.
Yes, it is very important that all the Pd dissolves in the alcohol
solvent before you start the reaction. One day of stirring together with
the copper cocatalyst will usually accomplish that.
When pressure-testing your bottle, fill it with water. When it ruptures
the explosion will be much less violent this way, although it might be
slightly wetter.
